A 41-year-old man faces charges after causing a disturbance on an easyJet flight traveling from London Luton Airport to Glasgow on Sunday morning, according to police reports.
Police Scotland arrived at the scene around 8:20 AM after receiving notification of the incident. The police stated, “We believe the incident to be contained and that nobody else was involved.”
Counter-terrorism officers are currently reviewing videos shared on social media related to the incident.
The man is scheduled to appear in Paisley Sheriff Court today.
An easyJet representative confirmed that upon the flight’s arrival in Glasgow, police boarded the aircraft to remove the disruptive passenger. They emphasized that the airline’s crew is well-trained to handle various situations effectively to maintain safety for all passengers on board. The spokesperson added, “The safety and wellbeing of our customers and crew is always easyJet’s highest priority.”
